Josh Preston
Founder & Director
I founded CJS in 2023 with the desire to continue to expand my personal and professional experiences in this wonderful industry we all share. I hold a Bachelor of Applied Science – Major Geology, Graduate Diploma in Coal Mine Strata Control, Master of Business Administration and a member of AusIMM.
A professional exploration mining geologist, and a resources industry executive with over 30 years’ experience in the mining and resources industries. I consider myself an experienced executive with a proven background in leading exploration, project development, technical and operational teams. I have also had Industry representation as former director of the Australian Coal Association and ACARP.
I have been fortunate to have travelled and worked extensively in Australian coal producing basins and a small number of global regions. I have gained experience with engagements of large corporate entities right through to the other end of the scale with dynamic small private enterprises.
